April Stamp of the Month - Life in Pictures

Ok I Love Love Love this layout, using the April SOTM so I had to CASE it - I will add picture(s) to it later - haven't decided if I'll add small pictures yet but in the meantime, this will work for one 4x6 photo.  As many of you know, I'm not a huge scrap booker but this came together so quickly!  If I can do it, anyone can!  LOL!

If you want this amazing stamp set, don't forget it's only available until Apr 30th so don't miss out.  I can see that I'm gonna have some fun with this set! I also used Memento Black ink, 3D foam tape, Artiste cartridge (Design Space), White Daisy Cardstock.

Have an amazing day!

Happy Valentine's Day

Ok, you have to know this about me ... I'm a leave it to the last minute kind of gal!  LOL!

Here is the card I finally settled on making for my dearest hubby ... I sat down with a totally different card in my head than this but sometimes you just gotta go with the flow ... I married my best friend almost 21 years ago (anniversary is in just a couple of weeks) and I have never regretted it even for a second!  Happily I didn't leave that to the last second ;)

Hope he likes it!

I put this on the inside

13

A colleague asked me to make a card for her niece's 13th birthday - she likes to play soccer so I used an old stamp set I had that had a soccer ball in it - looking at the photos though, the ball looks like a flower!  Hmmm ... oh well!  I also used the Card Chatter - Birthday and Artiste to cut 13 out (at 1-1/2" and 1-1/4") and the 1-1/4, 1-3/4 and 2 inch circles.  The 1-3/8 circles were a punch.  The easel card base was 4-1/4 x 8-1/2 and then scored at 4-1/4 and 6-3/8.  The card front was 4-1/4" square and embossed with a folder from the wedding suite set.  I added a bit of bling onto the edge of the Hip hip Hooray banner.

Have a great day!

Tea Light Snowman

Saw this on youtube this weekend so thought I'd give it a try - I love it!

Made it using the Artiste cartridge and it was so fun to make!  I used White Daisy cardstock and other miscellaneous supplies to finish him off - can't wait to pop in some battery operated tea lights in the bottom 2 layers - he's going to look so cute all lit up!

Update, here are some instructions:

  • In white, cut from Pg 56, 3 boxes sized 2.5", 2", and 1.5"
  • In black, cut from Pg 56, 1 box at 1".
  • Cut one 2.5" circle, in black, for the base of the hat.
  • Cut one 1.25" circle for the nose and then roll it up.
  • Scrap of ribbon or material for the scarf.

Have a lovely day!

Happy Anniversary!

Not mine but my parents-in-law - 56 years!  That's something you don't hear a lot!

I used Cashmere and Chocolate ink, the SOTM Baroque Borders, the sentiment is from Say It In Style, the roses from Art Philosophy, and the banner is from Artiste, cut at 1-1/4"  (pg 58 Shift-Accent 3).

Hope they like it!

(It was hard to get a decent picture of it - trust me, it does look much better in person!)

Cheers!

Playing ...

Hello!

Well I've been playing with the new Artiste cartridge ... these are some of the things I've managed as I get used to how it cuts and then gets put together ... found some great youtube videos and sites to help out and once I get the links again, I'll upload them here.

Here are my versions of what I've seen just to try out - all done with scrap paper and miscellaneous materials.

Card is found on pg 75, cut at 5", inside is cut at 4-3/4" and cut in half and attached to each side - one thing I noted is that the front of the card is identical to the back of the card so I had to cut 2 of everything and also I had to snip at the collar to make it work - not sure if that is what I was supposed to do but that's what I did!  The tie and pocket are also cut at 5".  I used Slate ink and edged everything with Slate as well.

Flowers are found on Pg 54, cut at 1-3/4", leaves on same page, cut at 3/4" I think (I was playing around with the sizes, they might actually be 1/2")

Shoe is found on Pg 63, cut at 4-1/2"

I'm still in awe of everything that this cartridge is capable of and am looking forward to discovering everything!  With 700 images, that could take me awhile!

Let me know if you'd like to join me in discovering everything this cartridge is capable of and would like your own copy.  I'd like the company :)

Hope you've had a wonderful day!

Mr & Mrs

Here is my first project from the new Artiste cartridge - oh, I think I'm gonna like this cart!  The card was inspired from here and as usual, I can't seem to CASE it exactly so here is my version!  It actually came together quite quickly, even with having to figure out the measurements!

Here are my cuts:

Mr & Mrs - pg 61 - Accent 1 - cut at 2"
Card - pg 56 - Card - cut at 5"
Background behind Mr & Mrs - pg 61 - Accent 3 - cut at 3 3/4" and 3 1/4"
Ribbon - pg 55 - Accent 2 and Accent 3 - cut at 1"

The white square is cut at 4 1/4" by 4 3/4" and is embossed.

Have a fun day!

Materials used:  CTMH Artiste cartridge, Provocraft Swiss Dots embossing folder, miscellaneous paper that I'm trying to use up!
