Scrappin' the Day Away ...
Hello, just back from a lovely respite from reality and thought I'd play around with some scrapbook pages. My favourite page size is 8-1/2 x 11 currently. It just works for me. A fellow demonstrator I follow on YouTube does a story and scrap series (Passionate about Scrapbooking, Pamela Blackwell) and she has inspired me to get the stuff out of my head and my phone and onto paper! I'm not the best scrapbooker out there and certainly not the calibre of some of those amazing crafters I see online but I'm happy with what I do and that's the important part! Just do what feels right for you! The photos are just sitting on my phone and scrapping is a great way to bring them out! I worry sometimes what will happen to everyone's memories when their phones die or new technology happens and they just disappear. I'm sure there's stuff I've forgotten about and will never come across again because it was on some piece of old technology. In the future, looking through albums maybe will bring back a smile or two.
Ok enough musing/ranting ... I had some fun creating these and using up some paper while doing it!
The Mini-Alphabet dies and the Painted Stripes stamp, Seaside Wishes stamps and dies, Friends of the Ocean stamps and dies are all Stampin' Up! The tag is also a retired SU! punch. I am trying to use up all my CTMH cardstock so this one uses Lagoon cardstock and Lagoon ink. Anything else is from my stash. I covered up hubbies face in case you are wondering what the yellow dots are, haha! I still have another couple of pages I want to do for this trip so you may see more but that'll be for another post. I'll add the journaling so I don't forget the memories!

Spring Has Sprung!!
"That is one good thing about this world… there are always sure to be more springs."
L. M. Montgomery
Spring speaks to me of renewal, of new beginnings, the freshening up of everything! Love it!
For this delightful card, I used the new Textured Notes dies, the Corrugated 3D embossing folder (Love Love Love!) and of course the Delightful Wishes stamps and dies. It took me a minute to start using it properly but now I'm totally loving it! Doesn't it scream Spring?! It actually looks to me like a forsythia flower plant and when it is blooming that is my reminder that we need to cut back the rose bush. I watch for it every year!

Snowflake Sky 3D Embossing Folder
This is another example of embossing a piece of cardstock, this time I used the Snowflake Sky 3D embossing folder and ran it through the embossing machine; then ran my ink pad over top to make the snow pop! I then used the Forever Forest stamps and dies to create a snowy evening. The second card, I used the Under the Moon stamp for the moon and the retired Winter Owls stamps and dies. This technique has so much possibility!

Magnolia Mood
I must admit I wasn't in love with these Magnolia Mood set when I first saw it but using it made me realize just how beautiful it was! I used the Dotted Circles 3D embossing folder for the background. This is an 8.5" x 6" size so it's big enough to use for scrapbooking as well as for cardmaking. It's a gorgeous folder. If you know me, you know I do like me an embossing folder, lol! Another background used was the Painted Texture embossing folder, another favourite.

Layered Florals 3D Embossing Folder
This Layered Florals 3D embossing folder is ah-mazing! And this technique was so fun! Take a piece of cardstock, pop it into the embossing folder and run it through the embossing machine. Then colour the images on the back of the embossed piece. Once done, run your black ink pad over top and it makes the flowers pop! Love this technique! I have another post showing this technique with a different embossing folder coming soon.
Have a colourful day!

Cutest Cows
Cutest Cows is another cute stamp and punch that came out in the new year and I'm so happy it carried over. I had a couple of crafting sessions with our local demos and these wonderful cards were the result. Thank you Sue's Paper Creations and West Coast Paper Crafter! This cow is so cute!
Have a crafty day!

Bee Happy
One of the sets that came out early in the new year was Bee Happy, a stamp and punch set that I had so much fun with. I'm so happy it is still available! They bring along wonderful memories of an afternoon of crafting with my Aunty during the cold winter blast we had in January.
Have a memorable day!

Thoughtful Journeys Fun Fold Card
This fun-fold came from Cheryl Dorsey on Youtube and I loved it so much I pretty much CASE'd it exactly. I used the Thoughtful Journey 6x6 Designer Series Papers (dsp) and Heartfelt Hexagon punch and stamps and the Sweetly Scripted stamps.
Have a fun day!

Let's Set Sail
I was recently able to get the sailboat punch (retired) and then I decided I needed the stamp set as well, sadly also retired. But I am so happy I was able to track them down. The first card was using just the punch. The second was using the stamps and the punch as well as the current Under the Moon stamps - wasn't sure this one wasn't going in the bin but I stuck with it and am happy with how it ultimately finished up.
Do you do that, not like what you are making but keep tweaking and moving things around and then it becomes a creation you end up liking a lot!
Have a happy day!

Bistro Burger
Loved how this card turned out! I used the wonderful Bistro Burger set (stamps, dies, bundle) from the new Annual Catalogue, made it a bigger burger and used up some more retired papers! Love it! Technique came from Sue's Paper Creations!

Playing Catch Up!
Hi all,
Once again, I'm apologizing for the long delay between posts ... I do tend to post more on Facebook and Instagram if you are looking for current stuff faster, haha!
I'll be doing catch up posts for the next covering my almost completed first year of being with Stampin' Up! and some of the many creations made, beginning with these ... these are 8 card fronts (just needing to be added to the card bases) that used a 4 cards from one piece of cardstock technique. I mainly used Seaside Wishes, Seaside Turtle and Beauty of the Deep as well as digging out some embossing folders.
Essentially you stamp in each corner of the cardstock page, and then cut them into four cards - from there, you can finish them however you like. I also like to use up the bits and bobs I have on my desk - use up what ya got!

So Excited!
Hello everyone, sorry about the big break in posts but I hope to keep this more up to date in the future (wish me luck).
I have some exciting news ... I have signed up to be a Stampin' Up! demonstrator and I can't wait to get going! I went to my first SU! party in 2005 at a friends invitation and I haven't looked back since! I love all things papercraft and enjoy the process of creating. I still believe in using what you have on hand so my crafting will continue to include all things.
My new site is a work in progress as I work to personalize it and get myself organized but I just wanted to let you all know where to find me.
Can't wait to start this new direction on my journey and I hope you join me!

Ahhhh Retirement ...
Speaking personally, it's the best!
A friend recently asked me to make her a card for her hubby who will be retiring imminently ... he likes books and cats and I think this card offered that up perfectly! I used a bunch of different stamp sets and embellishments from all over!

Sweet As Honey
I think this has been my most favourite paper suite in ages ... I simply adore it.
Here is a card I worked on with it. The Sweet As Honey Cardmaking kit is temporarily unavailable but is expected back in stock some time this month.

Udderly Cute!
The Udderly Wonderful stamp set is darling and it pairs up well with the Barn Door Stamp set. I also used the Circle Shaker Window Thin Cuts set for the background circle.

Woodland Critter Huggers
A friend recently introduced me to these lovely critters and I got the set of dies for Christmas. I've had such fun playing with them. This was made for a friend to give to her hubby. I used a retired Stamp of the Month for the sentiment. The Mini Envelope Thin Cut is still available. The Hearts banner was made with a retired Hearts Border Thin Cuts set. Also used Red Stickles.
