Last Day of the Month!

Well the month of May sure flew by!  Sure hope it brings some June sun and heat!

In case you were wanting the Dream Pop paper pack and/or the May Stamp of the Month, today is the last day to get it.  Remember, you can order 24/7 anywhere in Canada from my website.

The Dream Pop is only $10 when you place a $35 order and if you place a minimum $50 order, you can get the Stamp of the Month for just $5.

Have a great day!

Congrats Graduate!

Yes, we'll have another graduate in the house on Friday!  So excited for my youngest as he graduates high school!

Here is the card I've made for him - hope he likes it!

I used the Congrats Graduate stamp set (only 6.95!) for this as well as a new embossing folder that I got for the background.  It finally arrived this week, just in the nick of time!  I had the idea in my head but wasn't sure it would get here in time.  I used Black and Sky ink for the sentiment.

Now to get rid of this cold before the ceremony so that I can go!

Have a great day!

Here is a thank you card, made up similar to this one that I did for a Mother's Day card.  The base was likely the same measurements (pg 65, cut at 3-3/4" from the Artiste cart) but I don't know for sure as it was leftover on my craft table waiting to be used!

I added a blue bling to the tab and it's all done!

I love how easy the Artiste and the Art Philosophy carts make everything!

Have a great day!

Wonderful Fabulous You!

Whipped this card up pretty quickly, gotta love that!

I used the Fabulous You set, and the For Always paper I had left over from making the kit cards. Tuxedo Black Memento ink, and Cocoa ink around the edges.  I used a blender pen and Cocoa ink to colour the bird.  Foam stickies to prop up the centre piece and viola, all done!

Have a great day!

Criss-Cross Card

Criss-cross card meets Dream Pop and Happy Thoughts!

I followed the instructions from here and found they worked best for me - there are others out there but after wasting two pieces of paper trying to follow one set of instructions, went back to the tried-n-true!

I used Happy Thoughts for the sentiment across the top of the insert and for the little bird on the front.  The paper is from Dream Pop which is only available until the end of this month for only $10 with a $35 minimum order.

Sadly this month is already coming to an end soon - it sure flew by!

Anyway, back to the card, I also used Lagoon ink.

Have a great day!

What a Great Company!

They really are a loving, caring company ... in light of the Oklahoma tornadoes this past week, they are releasing early one of their stamps from the upcoming Autumn/Winter 2013 catalogue and offering it for just $2.95 from May 23 - June 30 with 100% of the profits from sales of this stamp being donated to the American Red cross to aid tornado victims.

Simple Happy Birthday

I saw a similar type concept of a card while surfing today.  The small 3.5" card is attached to the scalloped square background - very cute idea!

And sorry for the blurry picture - I guess the scanner didn't like layers!?!  It looks much better in real life!

Anyway, here are the details - I used the Art Philosophy cart, pg 33, to cut the square at 4".  The beige background was cut at 3.5" x 7", then folded in half.  The cupcake is from pg 70, cut at 2.5".  I stamped the cupcake using one of the 3 stamp sets that came with the Art Philosophy cartridge.  The sentiment was from Just a Number, in black ink.  I used our corner rounder on the card and finished it all off with crystal stickles.

Have a great day!

Studio J

This is a great video - if you ever want to explore Studio J, let me know!

You don't need any special software on your computer, it is all online!  Once you are happy with your work, you can buy the jpgs to print at your leisure or you can have CTMH print them for you.

 Have a great day!

Mr & Mrs Wedding Card

This card was inspired from here and whipped up pretty quick, using the handy, dandy Artiste cart!

I cut 'Mr & Mrs' at 2" (pg 61, shift Accent 1).  Then pulled some paper from the For Always paper pack (love this paper!) and some silver glitter trim which CTMH sells but I don't have yet so I used this trim that I got at Michaels on sale last year.

Have a great day!

2 for 1!

I just love it when things come together easy!  And these two cards do!

I used the Pemberley Paper pack (retired) and the Artiste cart to cut out 'hello' at 1".  The card base on the first card is Indian Corn Blue.  I also used the word Friend from the SOTM set from last year Friendship Bouquet stamped in Black on the first card and Indian Corn Blue on the second card.

Have a great day!.

Congrats Grad!

Still working on graduation cards and this is my latest attempt.

I used the Congrats Graduate set and the Artiste - Kudos set (one of the 3 sets that comes with your Artiste cartridge) and Indian Corn Blue Ink.  The shapes were cut out with the Artiste cartridge.  I love that the stamp sets tell you what page the image is on and what size to cut it at!

Have a great day!

Happy Happy Birthday to you ...

I used the Artiste cartridge and made the card on pg 34, Card, cut at 5.5.  For the label, I used the image on page 65, Accent 3, cut at 2.5 and 2.3.  The sentiments were stamped with Black ink and I used the Card Chatter - Birthday set.  There is also an envelope to cut to go with this card yet!  I love this cart!!!

Have a great day!

Love and Hugs

Playing around and loving the black and white so this is what I ended up with!

I used the Artiste cartridge and cut out the card (cut at 5.40)  and wrapper (cut at 5.50).  I also cut the butterfly out at 1.5.  I used the Words of Comfort set for the sentiment and the flower, stamped in Black and Cranberry.  I also used my Versamark pad and clear embossing powder to stamp from the Simple Memories set (retired) just to give it a bit more ... I did this on the front of the wrapper and on the butterfly.

Have a great day!

An Elephant Never Forgets ...

This is for a belated birthday wish ... I used the Card Chatter - Birthday set with black ink, and I made the elephants with the Cricut Cake - Birthday Cakes cartridge (pg 65, cut at 1" in both black and gray), edged in slate ink.

Have a great day!

Happy Birthday!

This is another simple birthday card that came together really quickly!  I just cut a square of scrap cardstock into a square (around 3-1/4" I think).  Then I cut the strips of cardstock into 3/4" strips.  Put a light layer of glue down on the square and lined up the strips of paper.  Once the glue was dry, I cut away the excess and there was the 'gift' done.  The ribbon was from our Neutral Assortment Baker's Twine attached with a mini-glue dot.  Banner was a scrap piece of white cardstock cut at 1" wide.  I used the Card Chatter - Birthday set again, stamped with Black ink.  Attached the gift to the background with foam dots (which I again used the corner rounder on - sure hope mine shows up soon - nothing worse than waiting and I'm just the worst when it comes to patience - lol!), attached the banner and voila, the card is done!

This was totally CASEd from an issue of Card Creations, Volume 11.

Have a great day!

Dream Pop Birthday

This is a super simple card to put together ... used the Dream Pop paper, Card Chatter - Birthday (inside says "and many, many more"), Desert Sand ink and a corner rounder (not CTMH but only because I don't have it yet!  Mine is enroute as we speak!).  Oh and a SU border punch.

Have a great day!

The Final Package

I finally found a way to finish off the cards I'd made!

I've posted these cards a few days ago but wasn't sure how to package them.  I found a youtube channel yesterday though that solved my problem and I love how it finished up!  I made both the envelopes and the box for these 4 x 4 cards.

The following are 3 x 3 cards and a holder that I found here how to make.  I used the Artiste cart for the banners (cut at 1/2", pg 35), Say It Style set, SU Feelin' Sentimental set.  Love how they turned out! I know I was inspired by someone out there but of course can't find the link now! I hate that! If I find it again, I'll update!

Have a great day!

Thank You!

Another Workshop on the Go set I haven't had a chance to use yet ... until now!

This one uses the Avonlea Cardmaking Workshop on the Go set from the last catalogue, Bamboo and Juniper inks.  The paper pack is still available but sadly the WOTG no longer is.

Also used the SU Edgelets Adorning Accents for the scalloped trim on the front of the card, edged with Bamboo ink.  I finished it off using liquid pearls - I didn't even know I had this!  I really need to clean out my room! LOL!

Have a great day!

Graduation Time again

It's hard to believe it has been almost a year since my daughter graduated and now my son is about to do the same thing!

So proud of both of them!

Anyway, here is a graduation card that was made using our Congrats Graduate set which is a great deal for only $6.95!

I used Slate, Black and Pacifica inks.  The Artiste cart, liquid glass to hold it all together, and the Cuttlebug Stars embossing folder.  I hand-cut the graduation cap and some of the stars from the embossing folder to add to it.

The Cricut cuts were as follows:

Scallop circle:  pg 35, Accent 3, black @ 2.5", blue @ 2.25", silver @ 2"
Circle: pg 48, white at card @ 1.75"
Rosette:  pg 50, blue @ 2" times 2
Ribbons: pg 55, accent 3, blue @ 2", black @ 2.25", silver @ 1.75

Have a great day!

Mother's Day Tulips

I (heart) how this turned out!  It is a freebie from the Cricut Craft Room this week (Mother's Day Tulips), cut at 5".

I used our Artiste cartridge for the banner (pg 35, Accent 1, cut at 3/4") and the Say It in Style (retired) set for the sentiment, stamped in Desert Sand.

The Tulips I inked the edges with Smoothie ink.  And added White liquid pearls to finish it off.  Oh and the Swiss Dots Cuttlebug folder for the background.

There is also a matching card that goes with this!

So cute!

Have a great day!

A Gift for Hubby

This was a gift that I made for my hubby, Christmas 2011 but haven't posted here yet.  He really liked it and was one of my first real projects made using the Cricut machine.

I used the Heritage cart for the camera and I can't remember what I used for Family - if I had to guess I'd say George.  I painted the base with black acrylic paint and then mod-podged the paper on.  I don't recall where I got the swirly's from but I expect one of the two cartridges already mentioned.  Then mod-podged the whole thing.

Have a great day!

Buzzing ...

I made a belated birthday card and thought I'd share it with you!

I used Chocolate ink and the Buzz and Bumble Scrapbooking Workshop on the Go papers and stamp set.  On the inside of the card (which I forgot to take a scan of before I sent it away), I used sentiments for Card Chatter - Birthday (I didn't forget your Birthday I'm just extending the Celebration!)

Love how this turned out!

Have a great day!

Last Minute Christmas packing

These are from the Christmas that I got the Art Philosophy cartridge as a gift from my hubby in 2011 - we still had some last minute wrapping to do still so I quickly got to work and worked these up ... I wish I could recall the sizes but likely were fit to page.  The Santa bag was inspired from here!

Have a great day!

Hello Tweety Notecards

I've been wanting to make my mother-in-law some notecards and I finally came up with some cards I'm happy with!  I'm lovin' Hello Tweety!

I used Black ink for the sentiment, Sweet Leaf for the vines (and because the ink was still wet, I used some Clear embossing powder and embossed them), then used Versamark for the birds and then Gold embossing powder to emboss them.

I love how this turned out.  I made a set of 6 cards which I hope she'll like.  Oh and these are 4x4 cards so big enough to write a little note in but not so huge you feel like you have to write a novel!  Ha ha!

Have a great day!

Friday, May 3, 2013

I used the Dream Pop paper for this card ... the Balanced Diva stamps are from Gina K.  I paper-pieced the yoga pants.

I also used some silver glitter paper that I had on hand but CTMH also sells this if you don't already have some (and at a better price,  I might add, than what I recall paying for this paper!).  This paper seems to really enhance the silver glitter so if you don't have some, get some!  LOL!  I used foam tape to pop up the glitter paper and then used liquid glass to attach the main image.

Have a great day!

Little Red Dress Birthday

Who wouldn't want to wear a lovely little red dress?!

Used the Artiste cartridge, pg 41, cut at 3".  Also Card Chatter - Birthday, Diverse Backgrounds (retired) versamarked onto the dress and then embossed with Clear embossing powder.  I also used the Cuttlebug Pinking Stitch embossing folder.  Also used some little adhesive backed pearls.  The inside of the card says Celebrate!

Have a great day!

Wedding Card

Here is a card I made last year, using the flowers cut from the Art Philosophy cart.  The velum is embossed with a Cuttlebug embossing folder.  The fern leaves are a Martha Stewart punch.  The circle behind the flowers was also a Cuttlebug embossing folder, Swiss Dots.  The Mr & Mrs was embossed with Silver embossing powder after being stamped with Versamark ink.

Have a great day!
