Scrappin' the Day Away ...
Hello, just back from a lovely respite from reality and thought I'd play around with some scrapbook pages. My favourite page size is 8-1/2 x 11 currently. It just works for me. A fellow demonstrator I follow on YouTube does a story and scrap series (Passionate about Scrapbooking, Pamela Blackwell) and she has inspired me to get the stuff out of my head and my phone and onto paper! I'm not the best scrapbooker out there and certainly not the calibre of some of those amazing crafters I see online but I'm happy with what I do and that's the important part! Just do what feels right for you! The photos are just sitting on my phone and scrapping is a great way to bring them out! I worry sometimes what will happen to everyone's memories when their phones die or new technology happens and they just disappear. I'm sure there's stuff I've forgotten about and will never come across again because it was on some piece of old technology. In the future, looking through albums maybe will bring back a smile or two.
Ok enough musing/ranting ... I had some fun creating these and using up some paper while doing it!
The Mini-Alphabet dies and the Painted Stripes stamp, Seaside Wishes stamps and dies, Friends of the Ocean stamps and dies are all Stampin' Up! The tag is also a retired SU! punch. I am trying to use up all my CTMH cardstock so this one uses Lagoon cardstock and Lagoon ink. Anything else is from my stash. I covered up hubbies face in case you are wondering what the yellow dots are, haha! I still have another couple of pages I want to do for this trip so you may see more but that'll be for another post. I'll add the journaling so I don't forget the memories!

Spring Has Sprung!!
"That is one good thing about this world… there are always sure to be more springs."
L. M. Montgomery
Spring speaks to me of renewal, of new beginnings, the freshening up of everything! Love it!
For this delightful card, I used the new Textured Notes dies, the Corrugated 3D embossing folder (Love Love Love!) and of course the Delightful Wishes stamps and dies. It took me a minute to start using it properly but now I'm totally loving it! Doesn't it scream Spring?! It actually looks to me like a forsythia flower plant and when it is blooming that is my reminder that we need to cut back the rose bush. I watch for it every year!

Snowflake Sky 3D Embossing Folder
This is another example of embossing a piece of cardstock, this time I used the Snowflake Sky 3D embossing folder and ran it through the embossing machine; then ran my ink pad over top to make the snow pop! I then used the Forever Forest stamps and dies to create a snowy evening. The second card, I used the Under the Moon stamp for the moon and the retired Winter Owls stamps and dies. This technique has so much possibility!

Magnolia Mood
I must admit I wasn't in love with these Magnolia Mood set when I first saw it but using it made me realize just how beautiful it was! I used the Dotted Circles 3D embossing folder for the background. This is an 8.5" x 6" size so it's big enough to use for scrapbooking as well as for cardmaking. It's a gorgeous folder. If you know me, you know I do like me an embossing folder, lol! Another background used was the Painted Texture embossing folder, another favourite.

Layered Florals 3D Embossing Folder
This Layered Florals 3D embossing folder is ah-mazing! And this technique was so fun! Take a piece of cardstock, pop it into the embossing folder and run it through the embossing machine. Then colour the images on the back of the embossed piece. Once done, run your black ink pad over top and it makes the flowers pop! Love this technique! I have another post showing this technique with a different embossing folder coming soon.
Have a colourful day!
